Houston, TX – Lana J. Marks, the premier luxury exotic leather accessories designer to Hollywood, society, and royalty, launched the first ever American exhibition of the LANA MARKS jeweled Red Carpet Cleopatra Clutches, with over $1,000,000 of the world- famous handbag, at a luncheon hosted by Dr. Carolyn Farb, Nidhika Mehta, and Donna Speer, with proceeds to benefit UNICEF.
At the event, Marks displayed the original handbags worn on the Red Carpet, including the $100,000 LANA MARKS Cleopatra Clutch that Julie Christie wore to the 2008 Awards; the couture the $150,000 “Queen” Cleopatra Clutch that Helen Mirren not only wore on the Red Carpet but also up to the stage to accept her Best Actress Award for her role in The Queen; the Cleopatra Clutch worn by Jennifer Aniston on the Red Carpet in 2006; the $250,000 Cleopatra Clutch that Best Actress Nominee Kate Winslet carried in the 2005; and the $100,000 jeweled LANA MARKS Cleopatra Clutch that Charlize Theron wore in 2004 when she won for Best Actress for her role in Monster.
Handcrafted by her Italian artisans, the jeweled LANA MARKS Cleopatra Clutch is constructed from the finest American Alligator especially selected for each individual handbag and features delicately placed diamonds along the signature contoured LANA MARKS front flap. Since 2004, Marks has personally overseen the creation of one jeweled LANA MARKS Cleopatra Clutch per year to be worn by a nominee for the Best Actress on the Academy Awards’ Red Carpet.
